Baekseok Institution is rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the gracious proclamation, "The Truth will set you free." (John 8:32) Our institution seeks to produce global leaders equipped with the skills, wisdom, and character based upon a Christian world-view. In the Baekseok Institution there are two universities, Baekseok Culture University and Baekseok University, and a junior college, Baekseok College of Art.
Baekseok University has 12,000 undergraduate students in 12 divisions and 3,000 graduate students in 7 divisions for approximately 15,0000 matriculating students.
It is located in the city of Cheonan, a prosperous and growing city about 90 km south of Seoul. It takes only 35 minutes by KTX (express train) and just over an hour by car or bus and slightly over that by subway. The downtown area is about 10 minutes from the campus and has department stores, theaters, restaurants, and other amenities. Outside the city is a peaceful rural area with hills, lakes, and vineyards. There are historical sites, museums, the Memorial Hall of Independence, a folk village, and hot springs all within 30-40 minutes of Baekseok University by car.
Located in the base of a low rising mountain and surrounded by trees, Baekseok University provides the ultimate combination of modern academic refinement in a pristine natural setting. The ever growing campus boasts not only many excellent programs but also provides many amenities that make being at Baekseok University a pleasure for students and faculty alike.
